Humanities Tennessee seeks interns for unpaid positions in support of the 26th annual Southern Festival of Books: A Celebration of the Written Word.
This position is for 18-24 hours per week, for a minimum period of ten weeks, in the Humanities Tennessee office in Nashville. Interns should be available from July 15-August 15 or from August 15-October 31.Work hours are flexible. Upon successful conclusion of the internship, Humanities Tennessee will provide letters of reference to prospective employers and/or coordinate any required paperwork for fulfillment of university-based internship programs.
Responsibilities may include:
Track and analyzing audience numbers
Participate in organizational research and discussion of social media strategy
Request books (via e-mail) of authors confirmed for the Southern Festival from their respective publishers
Enter and revise data (address, name, contact info) of authors attending the Festival
Create or update existing brief bios for authors attending the Festival
Provide on-site support during the Southern Festival of Books: A Celebration of the Written Word, if internship falls within the Festival dates of Oct. 11-13
Attend logistics and marketing meetings
Assistance with basic office support such as mailings, filing, etc.
