Pamela Schoenewaldt

lived for ten years outside Naples, Italy. This displacement experience helped shape When We Were Strangers, a historical novel of 19th Century immigration, a Barnes & Noble Great New Writers and major book club selection. Her award-winning short stories have appeared in England, France, Italy and the U.S. She was a University of Tennessee Library Writer in Residence and now lives in Knoxville.
