RESOURCES FOR INDIVIDUALS & ORGANIZATIONS DURING COVID-19

While many of our programs, and those of our partners, have been postponed – and several have been canceled – we realize that the need for connection is stronger now than ever before. Together, while we’re at home, so many of us are turning to the arts, humanities, reading, and history.

Below is a list of resources that we plan to continue curating in the weeks and months to come. If you have a suggestion, please share it with us!

In the meantime, our staff are planning programs for the summer and fall as well as working on longstanding programming including our annual general grant program and providing regular content on Chapter 16.

HUMANITIES TENNESSEE CARES ACT GRANTS

Humanities Tennessee is pleased to offer assistance to humanities organizations in Tennessee as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) passed by Congress in March. These grants are intended to provide general operating support during a period of financial hardship caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The first round of Humanities Tennessee CARES Act Grant applications will be open from May 1-15, 2020. A second round of applications will open from June 1-15, 2020. The total pool of funds for both rounds is $550,000. Our goal is to support as many organizations as possible. Applicants may apply in one or both rounds.
