Storytelling as Liberation: A Conversation with Andrea Morales & Michela Watts
October 12 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm CDT
Join the Brooks Museum for a panel in conjunction with the exhibition Andrea Morales: Roll down Like Water.
Photographer Andrea Morales’s portrayal of our region is deeply rooted in the communities she engages with. Her approach to her photography is informed by “movement journalism,” and her photographs often document social and environmental movements with local and national resonance. The panel discussion will include Andrea Morales, Adrienne Johnson Martin, Ariel Cobbert, and will be moderated by Micaela Watts. This dynamic panel will explore the idea that storytelling can be a part of our liberation.
