Caroline Carrico
Caroline joined the efforts of Humanities Tennessee’s new Shared Futures Lab as correspondent in January 2024 to delve more deeply into the stories of our past and present and explore how we may build on those stories to shape our collective future. She is a writer, editor, and historian in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, where she has worked in the cultural sector for more than 15 years. She loves sharing individuals’ unique perspectives through engaging and compelling stories and museum exhibits because the best history puts the past in conversation with the present.
In just the first six months of her contract, Caroline has expanded our blog features with in-depth interviews, launched a new podcast for HT called “Humanities in Action”, and as a result, expanded her contract to build connections with friends, fans, and authors participating in the 2024 Southern Festival of Books.
