Paul McCoy grew up in Burkesville, Kentucky, and attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green where he received a B.A. in Music and an M.A. in Folklore. He moved to Nashville in 2003 to become Director of Education and Collections for Historic Carnton Plantation. There he developed educational programs, produced the site’s first temporary exhibits, and established working relationships with other area non-profit organizations. Paul joined the staff at Humanities Tennessee to help manage the Grants and Community History programs.
