Paul McCoy

As Deputy Director of Grants & Public Programs (previously Program Officer), Paul McCoy works directly with small museums, community organizations, and grantees all across the state.

Paul grew up in Burkesville, Kentucky, and attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green where he received a B.A. in Music and an M.A. in Folklore. He moved to Nashville in 2003 to become Director of Education & Collections for Historic Carnton Plantation. There he developed educational programs, produced the site’s first temporary exhibits, and established working relationships with other area nonprofit organizations. In his current role, he continues to establish and nurture relationships with organizations in communities throughout Tennessee.
