Opportunity Grants – Statewide
Opportunity grants are available to small organizations (annual budgets under $150,000) to plan and implement public humanities projects.
Tennessee Association of Museums Scholarship – Statewide
Since 2003, Humanities Tennessee has offered scholarships for volunteers of small or emerging organizations to attend the Tennessee Association of Museums’ annual conference.
CARES Act Grants – Statewide
Humanities Tennessee was pleased to offer assistance to humanities organizations in Tennessee as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) passed by Congress in March. These grants provided general operating support during a period of financial hardship caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Humanities Tennessee was pleased to provide grants through the Sustaining the Humanities through the American Rescue Plan (SHARP), made possible by the National Endowment for the Humanities as part of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 approved by the U.S. Congress and signed into law on March 11, 2021. This program distributed more than $940,000 in grants to organizations across the state of Tennessee.
