Manuia Samoa & More

Join Samoan filmmaker, educator, and anthropological activist Queen Muhammad Ali and her equally talented husband Hakeem Khaaliq as they share elements of their healthy lifeways project in American Samoa, Manuia Samoa. They will share film and conversation, as well as be joined by a local Siva dance group, for a memorable afternoon sharing traditions and issues affecting Samoans and other Pacific Islanders. The afternoon will be capped with a community meal, for which organizers request a $10 donation.
This presentation is part of Global Education’s Indigenous Voices project, made possible with partial funding by a SHARP grant from Humanities Tennessee.
